Yes, Zip-Jobs is the middle man. Not much different than all the other "job boards" on the internet, but without the name and information harvesting, and the pesky, unwanted barrage of emails to both Employers and Applicants. We don't use Cookies or any other type of Tracking algorithms.
Zip-Jobs is the easiest and most private way to Post a Job and Apply for a Job! Zip-Jobs staff will contact prospective Employers to verify the Job Listing. If no answer is given in a suitable amount of time (usually within 10 days), the listing is not posted. As former Applicants ourselves, we grew weary of the constant run-around from "job boards" and job postings that were not real. So we decided to take a completely new and minimalistic approach and make a change. So here we are!
Using Zip-Jobs couldn't be easier! Simply click on the Magnifying Glass in the upper right-hand corner of the Navigation Menu (top) and type in your search criteria. All of our listings are labeled by Zip Code (hence Zip-Jobs) but also include City, County, State and other information. So if you want to search locally, just type your local Zip Code. If you are moving to another area, type in that Zip Code.
Now we all know that most major metropolitan areas can have many Zip Codes. If that be the case search on the City name. You can also search on Zip Code plus the City name. You can basically search on almost any criteria such as Zip Code, City, and Job Title! Essentially if the information is in the Job Listing, you can search on that information. Zip-Jobs doesn't offer accounts to Employers or Applicants simply to remove the aspect of data harvesting (Personal Identifying Information, Internet Service Provider, IP Addresses, etc.) to help safeguard your privacy. Zip-Jobs' philosophy is that we only need basic contact information and a résumé to introduce Applicants to Potential Employers. As stated above, we don't use Cookies or any other type of Tracking Algorithms.
If there are Jobs you are interesting in pursuing, the easiest and best method to Save them is to create a folder in your Bookmarks Bar and bookmark the job URL to that folder. And then check your Email often to see if the Potential Employer has responded. If the bookmark that you Saved previously is no longer available, that would mean either the position has been filled or the Job Listing has expired.
Free Job Listings remain active for 60 days. Paid Job Listings remain active for 90 days. Ten (10) days before the Job Listing is set to expire, Zip-Jobs will send the Employer an email asking if the Job Position has been filled or if the Employer would like to renew.
